Emirates to increases capacity on Dubai <> Durban route

Dubai's flag carrier, Emirates, will increase its capacity on flights to Durban in South Africa by almost 30% from 01 June 2012.
As of beginning of June the airline will service the route with a modern 354-seat Boeing 777-300ER, with eight luxurious private suites in first class, a better business class with 42 lie-flat bed seats, and 304 economy class seats.
Emirates, which previously operated an Airbus A330-200 aircraft on its Durban route, carried more than 165 000 passengers between South Africa's third largest city and Dubai last year with an average seat occupancy of 83%.
In addition to the to be increased capacity on the Dubai <> Durbn route, Emirates will on 01 February 2012 also launch flights to its 20th and 21st destinations in Africa, with a five times weekly linked service to Zambia and Zimbabwe.
