Air Tanzania to resume domestic flights


The national carrier of Tanzania, Air Tanzania, will resume domestic operations on 10 Oct 2012 12 Oct 2012. The airline was grounded after the it suspended its lease contract with Vista Georgia for the Boeing 737-500, which the company used on its domestic services from Dar es Salaam to Kilimanjaro (JRO) and Mwanza (MWZ).
Air Tanzania's only own aircraft, a Bombadier Dash-8 Q300 plane, is currently stored as it is undergoing checks at Julius Nyerere International Airport in Dar es Salaam. The airline expects to now resume operations with both the Boeing 737-500 and the Bombadier Dash-8 Q300.
