The state-owned flag carrier of Qatar, Qatar Airways, is set to launch flights to Windhoek in Namibia and Lusaka in Zambia. Starting 28 September 2016, the airline will operate four flights per week between Hamad International Airport (DOH) in Doha and Hosea Kutako International Airport (WDH) in Windhoek. A non-stop service between Doha and Kenneth Kaunda International Airport (LUN) in Lusaka will be introduced in summer 2017.
